Zachary’s Tavern, circa 1930. Known for many years as the Elbow Room, it has been an iconic downtown bar since 1952. Now an event venue that Tennessee Williams would have surely loved.

Columbus is the birthplace of one of America’s most famous playwrights, Tennessee Williams. Join
author, professor emeritus, and Tennessee Williams Tribute Scholar Steve Pieschel as he opens the
book on the complex life of Columbus’ most famous native. Explore the family that produced a
